Anniversary of the opening of the Gary White building

Goondir Health Services celebrated their first anniversary of its Gary White Building in Dalby on 19th September 2013. Whilst Goondir was incorporated in 1994 (almost 20 years ago), the service has really expanded and is now able to provide many and varied health and wellbeing programs including visiting Specialists and Allied Health services from this purpose built facility. This occasion was celebrated by the Board, Staff and members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community of Dalby and surrounds.

This day was a great success with many Stakeholders and Partners of Goondir in attendance showcasing displays on the day.

Stall holders included UQ Dental care information, Gira Gira Womens Group selling handmade homewares, Menzies, Medicare Local and Carbals "good quick tukka" cooking. Goondirs Mobile Medical Clinic and building were open to all for tours and information.

There were plenty of games for the kids with a jumping castle and merry-go-round with Singing, Dancing and Didgeridoo Groups providing entertainment throughout the day. Formal proceedings included acknowledgements and recognition awards being presented to Partners and Staff. Goondir would like to thank all those who participated and travelled to this important event and acknowledge the support and funding of the Department of Health.
